Blood 2 Classic - Mac-10 Submachine Gun

Greetings Bloodites,

As a beggining for this new project -Blood 2 Classic- I want to show you the first sprites I was working on.
This time I did a conversion of the Mac-10 Submachine Gun from Blood 2 to the Blood classic style.

For me is one of the most iconic weapons of Blood 2, so I thought was a good beggining to start with.

Shown below you can find all the sprites, that are an alpha version that for sure I´ll need to work more on:

I go to share here the most important links of the Blood Community, that as bloodites you will know already, but is worth make a list just in case:

Blood Wiki: The Wikipedia dedicated to Blood, worth to read, with many amazing details of the game, expansions and sequel. One of the best sites where to get information.

 Blood Crossmatching: The most accurate modern version of Blood, running with the eDuke32 Port due the Blood sourcecode still private. The most similar experience to the original Blood in a modern port until now.



The Postmortem: The most important Blood forums on the net. From Blood World fall, the main site of Bloodites is the postmortem, highly recommendable.


Transfusion: Free 3D modern version of Blood running in every operative system based on the Quake 1 engine, with 3D models and a really amazing atmosphere. Similar to Blood, but I still preffer the most old style. Transfusion have an amazing network play mode.

Transfusion forums:  Transfusion have a really awesome and active forum where the bloodites share their bloody experiences ;)

Blood Hispano: The main spanish site of Blood, a great place where spanish natives like me conmemorate Blood. Also have tons of maps and gameplay videos.


ZBlood: Another Blood version made under the Doom II engine, running through Skulltag or GZDoom ports. It´s good, but the phisycs and other details still far away from Blood. Was the best option until the release of BloodCM. Still worth to play, and in my opinion is easier to modify.

Blood Multiplayer Group: The most active Blood Multiplayer Group in Facebook.

Blood 2 Classic - A new project is born

As most of the bloodites, I pass thousand of hours in front of the wonderful build engine games, which its maximum exponent is without any doubt Blood, not only by its advanced technical improvements over the Ken Silverman´s engine but also by the unique atmosphere that impregnates every aspect of the game. But sadly, Blood was not sell so good in spite of its great quality. After a while, Blood 2 came out in a 3D engine with many bugs, and the sells was more poor, so the franchise -by the moment- was stopped. This is something that I´ll talk about in the future.

Blood 2 had many problems and wrong decisions, but also there was parts that was awesome, starting from the intro. I loved the story of Caleb living through all those years without die, and still fighting the Cabal. Also the OST and many ideas of the sequel was amazing, not arriving to the original but still interesting.

Due how bad Blood 2 has olded, and how amazing still the original Blood, I was having the idea of an addon for Blood, remaking the Blood 2 game into Blood engine, as a total conversion.

So basicly that´s how it born the idea of Blood 2 Classic.

From now on I will be posting different sprites, levels and stuff related with this project, that I will love to work on, bringing the best of the atmosphere and story of Blood 2 and still keeping the best of the best that is Blood 1.

Greetings bloodites.

First of all I go to present myself.

I´m Roberto Julio Alamo, alias "Rolls" -JoJo in the Tranfusion forums-, and I´m a Old School fps fan. For me the three pillars and best fps are Doom II, HeXen, and of course Blood.
Back in the time I did many Blood levels, but so amateur and I didn´t released it online.

I created sites to dedicate to Doom and HeXen in the past, dedicated to news and to add my different mods and addons, but until now I didn´t create one for Blood. The lack of time and the problems to deal with the private sourcecode made me lazy during a while to try to create addons, but now I will try to solve this :)

I created Bloodite site as a tribute to Blood, to the Blood Community, and to share my ideas and new projects related with Caleb and the awesome Blood World. I hope you enjoy the contents that I´ll start to show from now on.
